Despite its reputation, Greece produces fantastic wines, which are especially pioneered to be indulged with food. Over thousands of years, the combination of  the sunny climate, salty sea and rich soil have nurtured many grape varieties indigenous to Greece. For El Greco, we've gathered our favourites across various areas of Greece.

And yes, we have some infamous retsina, too.

Medium-bodied, soft, aromatic, scent from rose hip and liquorice. 

PARANGA

Light and spicy with refreshing acidity and mild tannins. Aromatic, rich, hints of plum.

RAPSANI RESERVE 54

Ruby red color. Aromas of juicy blackberries and plums with elegant notes of spices, leather and licorice. The palate is round and rich with balanced acidity and lingering tannins. 

ABATON 72
Mt. Athos Monastery, Greece / Limnio, Cabernet Sauvignon
Deep ruby red color with great intensity. Bold aromas of small dark fruits, spices and vanilla on the nose. Dry palate, with well-structured tannins and a full body. Complex aromas of ageing, coffee and bitter chocolate accompany the fruity and spicy character. Aftertaste is long, complex and impressive.

Perfectly full-bodied, fruity and spicy with a long after taste.

The peculiar taste comes from added pine resin.
